Friends of the Fox Classic Movie Series presents Hot Water on Sunday, April 19, 2020.
“Hot Water” stars comedian Harold Lloyd as a harried husband in his adventures with his wife and family. This classic comedy has the slapstick and achingly funny situations that are hallmarks of Harold Lloyd. The movie goes from bringing a live turkey on a streetcar for Thanksgiving to a semi-horror comedy when Harold thinks he has killed his mother-in-law and that she has become a ghost! While Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy are more well-known today, Harold Lloyd was more commercially successful and his films were major moneymakers.
This is a rare chance to see a silent screen classic and hear the beautiful musical score specifically tailored for this film. Dave Moreno will play the entire film's score live on the Fox's own Mighty Morton organ.
Doors open at 1 pm with live lobby entertainment and a pre-screening organ concert at 1:30 pm, followed by the screening at 2 pm. Buy your tickets AT THE DOOR! Tickets: $8 adults; $4 children and students with IDs; $6 each for groups of 10 or more. Complimentary beverages and snacks are included with your ticket purchase.
