The Winds of Frisson reflect perfect teamwork in their ability to anticipate and support the other members of this marvelous ensemble. These are master musicians from the top music schools in America. Led by their Director Thomas Gallant, one of the best oboists in the world, these musicians will bring a program of diverse and varied instrumentation of both rarely performed and traditional masterworks.

Winds of Frisson will also include Marika Bournaki, piano; Ji Weon Ryi, flute; Bixby Kennedy, clarinet; Remy Taghavi, bassoon; and Trevor Nuckols, French horn. They will perform the following program:

Ravel--Tombeau de Couperin for winds
Poulenc – Sextet for piano and winds
Stravinsky – Three pieces for clarinet
Beethoven – Quintet for piano and winds Tickets are available in the lobby of Faye Spanos Concert Hall at UOP starting at 2:00 pm, 30 minutes before the concert. Students of any age are admitted free.

The audience is invited to meet the musicians at a reception following the concert.
