Bokisch Vineyards winery is located at 18921 Atkins Road in Lodi, California. The winery produces about 5000 cases of wine per year. Tasting room guests can observe the winery’s tank room through a large window while they enjoy the finished wines. The tasting room grounds overlook Terra Alta Vineyard: 80 acres of rolling hills planted with Garnacha, Graciano, Albariño, Viognier, Syrah, Merlot, and Chardonnay grapes in the volcanic clay loam soil of the Clements Hills, Lodi AVA.
Markus and Liz Bokisch first purchased Lodi vineyard property in 1995 and produced their first wine in 1999. Since 2001, they have released Iberian varietal wines under their Bokisch Vineyards label. Presently, the Bokisch Vineyards label carries 10 Iberian varietal wines: 5 white wines, a Rosado, and 4 red wines, including their 2012 Graciano which was awarded a Double Gold, 98, Best of California and Best of Class of Region at the California State Fair Wine Competition. In 2015 they introduced a new label, Tizona, which now carries 3 wines: Old Vine Zinfandel; Malbec; Late Harvest Graciano. Bokisch Vineyards wines are all Certified Green under the Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing Practices, the California leader in sustainable viticulture certification.
